The KICA0WH KitchenAid freezer bowl can also be stored in the freezer, ready for use at a moment's whim. Only the dasher and adapter ring will need shelving space. Both pieces can be put in the dishwasher after use, while the bowl will need to be handwashed. The KitchenAid ice cream attachment is practical as well as efficient.

KICA0WH Review

I got this for my wedding and it has come in handy and used often especially after my son was born. I have a toddler who is allergic to a lot of things and has severe reflux so I make his ice cream with rice milk and add fruits like strawberry and bananas. He loves it, saves a lot of money on speciality ice cream and sorbet, and eliminates the worry about cross contamination. Also makes perfect sorbet and cuts down time on granita significantly. Easy to set up, quick to make, and easy to clean. I love it.

KICA0WH Ice Cream Maker Review 2

We are ice cream lovers and fussy about the quality of ice cream. The (KICA0WH) KitchenAid Ice Cream Maker eliminates all the hard work, and in a short time, makes AWESOME ice cream!! Cleanup is easy and quick, so you can get the maker back in the freezer, ready to make the next batch.

In our various ice cream mix "trails," we've come up with what we think is the best recipe. For vanilla: 2C whole milk, 2C heavy cream, 1C granulated sugar, 2 tsp. vanilla extract.

For chocolate, don't use any vanilla, and ADD: 3/4C cocoa powder, plus 2 hard long squirts of chocolate syrup. For mint chocolate, add 2 to 3tsp. of a good peppermint extract.

Enjoy!!

KitchenAid Ice Cream Maker Review 3

This is a great product! We have made several batches so far and have been greatly impressed. We took the advice of another reviewer and got the Ben and Jerry's book and now we're in ice cream heaven. I don't think I'd buy store bought ice cream again unless I was having to feed a large group. Also, it is VERY easy to use...no salt, no ice, just stash it in the freezer overnight and you're ready to go. If you like ice cream and you buy this maker, I would be shocked if you weren't thrilled!

Ice Cream Maker FGA Review 4

I think my wife is trying to murder me with this KitchenAid Ice Cream Maker Attachment! She bought this for me for Christmas along with the Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream Recipe book knowing full well that I would become obsessed with trying all of the recipes. I'm on the third batch (Cherry Garcia, Coffee Chip, Chocolate Chocolate Chip) and I can already feel my heart slowing down. I can hardly make it to the mailbox without becoming winded. Luckily I realized her dastardly plot before having an ice cream overdose induced myocardial infarction. She almost got away with it as nobody would have suspected her. The paramedics would have just thought I was another fat pig who overdosed on ice cream.

This is so easy to use you may also find yourself overstocked with fresh quarts of the best ice cream you ever tasted. Follow the recipes in Ben and Jerry's book and carefully follow the directions that come with the churn and you'll make great ice cream every time. As the other reviewers have mentioned, it is essential to allow the ice cream to "ripen" before serving. This is not a requirement that is unique to this churn by the way. This is necessary with other churns as well. So be patient, plan ahead, get creative, and enjoy.
